BE BOLD

"...Fear is...something unworthy of a child of God..." -Bible Dictionary

I know multiple things in this world.
I know that frosted lemonade makes me happy. I know that I can come to my best friends for anything. I know that food is a source of comfort. I know that music is a never-failing-remedy. I know that life is hard.

But most of all, I know there is a God and I know that we are all children of God; therefore, I know that quote ^^^ about fear, is true.

FEAR IS UNWORTHY OF US.

A couple days ago I had a seminary substitute teacher who may have very well changed my life in just under 70 minutes. How? Because she shared that quote with me, and taught me (along with 30 other students) that in order to counteract fear, we must be BOLD

Be BOLD in your
stature
speech
actions
beliefs
thoughts
wants
attitude
knowledge
personality

Do not doubt. Do not be afraid. Be BOLD.

Shout in the streets if you have to, but be BOLD.

It is our only safeguard against fear.

It will ensure our happiness and can contribute to others' as well.

Be BOLD

Humans are bombs. Not like, "the bomb.com", but an actual bomb. Obviously I'm speaking in non-literal terms, but still, you get the point. Bombs obliterate everything through one swift movement, and so can people. A word, an action, a thought; it can all be used for destruction. But who are the bombs? And why are we not smart enough to avoid them? The bombs are every single person in your life, including yourself. And we aren't smart enough to avoid them because, as the late Hannah Montana said, "nobody's perfect". Therefore, we are constantly being bombed, sometimes intentionally, and other times accidentally. What is "being bombed" though? It's being sworn at for sitting by the wrong kid on the bus. It's that one (fake) friend that tells you you're a brat. It's the #coolkids glaring at you as you walk by. *Continues to list multiple other semi-applicable examples.* But as much as all of these "attacks" s...

College?!?

Disclaimer: Whenever I see ?!? it makes a sound in my head like a diesel truck honking and a baby crying, all mixed together with the faint noise of a kazoo... so, ya. I hope you now understand why I titled this "College?!?" I decided to write this post because I wanted to help out two of my dearest friends, who asked me to tell all the in's and out's of college as their graduation gift. But now I've decided this is actually just a lil pep talk for me to get through the semester. (This is them. My friends. Who are probably the only ones who will ever read this lol.) Sadly, I don't know anything about college really. It's a different experience for everyone, and we all go through life at our own pace, right? But, since this is my page on the internet, and all ya'll are going at my pace at the moment, I've decided to share some things I've learned and what's worked for me over this past year(ish) of being at Utah State Universi...

A Toast:

*clinks champagne glass filled with apple cider* Lately I have been dwelling on the people I love and cherish in my life. Wait, no. Start again. *ahem* Sometimes I feel as if I take people for granted. Not use them, but more along the lines of just thinking their presence isn't a big deal. But it is. True friends are hard to find, and I'm probably the most luckiest person in the world to know and love as many wonderful people as I do. So here's to the people who make my day in our group convos. Here's to my family for making life exciting. Here's to the friend who gives me advice for everything. Here's to the time we chucked jello. Here's to my favorite cousin for quoting Fantastic Mr. Fox. Here's to everyone who drives me to places and makes me laugh till I cry. Here's to the time we made a music video. Here's to when we went to Texas for the heck of it. Here's to all the letters and notes given. Here's to surprise birthday lemo...
